Devin's Accessible Van

Hi, my name is Devin Hamilton. I have Cerebral Palsy and use a power wheelchair.

After studying Mechanical Engineering Technology at the Rochester Institute of Technology I started a small business called RapAdapt focused on developing custom solutions for others with disabilities. I meet with individuals in their homes, workplaces, schools, and anywhere in between to truly understand their needs and develop tailor made devices to help meet those needs. I currently rely on public transportation and other ad-hoc solutions to go meet with clients, friends and family. As public transportation becomes more scarce and I get older many of my current solutions for transportation are no longer viable. I even recently sustained a minor injury trying to transfer into and out of a friend's vehicle. It has become quite literally painfully clear that I need my own wheelchair accessible vehicle. Please help me continue doing what I love and helping others by making a donation to my accessible vehicle fund!

Thank you for helping me help others,

Devin Hamilton

A special note from our friend Thomas Quiter

I was the recipient of the third accessible van funded by the Liberty Memes Foundation. It was crowdfunded in just 24 hours! As a disabled disabilities advocate working on the voluntary side my message was clear: helping me meant facilitating me to help others. Now introducing Devin Hamilton, a friend of mine who also helps others with disabilities despite his own disability. This is your opportunity to get more bang for your buck and help someone like me help others! I personally guarantee that helping Devin will be worth more than usual because it is already his mission to help others. I’ve witnessed how he continues to get around despite lacking an accessible van and it is unsafe, but there’s no stopping Devin. Rather than expecting him to not sit still and put his mission on hold, let’s help him do what he does best. I’m asking you to do the right thing and do what you can do. Donate, share, or send a message of support for Devin, you won’t regret it!
