New York Homeless Fund

New York has one of the highest per-capita-homeless populations in one of the most heavily populated states.

New York City has the 2nd highest rate of homelessness per capita of any U.S. city.

We went there last fall to deliver supplies and relief, and to see if we could make an impact.

We helped a few people with material needs, and then we met Sammy.

Long story short (you can watch the origin story here), we stuck with him for months until he was able to break the cycle, get his own apartment, and find a job.

Sammy proudly texted me last week that he paid his rent on time for this month.

We are going back to identify more people in need of aid, and if we can find another "Sammy" who is willing to be helped in getting off the streets, we will follow through until we make it happen.
