Jace's Wheelchair Van

When he was 6 months old he was in a horrific car accident that changed all our lives forever.

This is Jace. He is raised by his grandfather and grandmother.

At the time of the accident the doctors gave him a 10% chance of surviving. Due to the accident Jace suffered severe brain injuries. As a result, Jace suffers from acquired CP, CVI(visual impairment), severely Globally delayed, LGS (Seizure disorder), left side hemiparesis.

9 months after the accident Jace suffered another bleed on his brain affecting his ability to eat. He has learned to eat again but has a G-tube for supplemental feeding and meds. The seizures were a major impact on him. He at one point was having over 100 seizures a day. After lots of research and med trials, we finally have a good combo. We pray it stays this way, but we just never know if the seizures will come back with a vengeance, causing him to regress. No one can be sure.

Through lots of love, therapies, and hard work this boy is thriving. He swims, does horseback riding therapy, Miracle League baseball and this past summer he went surfing. As Jace grows, getting him and his chair in and out of the vehicle is going to get harder on his Pap and Grandma. An adaptive van will ensure they will be able to continue to give Jace all he needs to continue to thrive.
