Richard's Wheelchair Van

Richard was diagnosed with  CMT (Chariot marie tooth disease) at age 35.

CMT is a form of muscular dystrophy. At the age of 36 he had to go on disability. The first 10 years the disease progressed at a steady pace. The last 9 years has really got him. He was put in a electric wheelchair 2 1/2 years ago. CMT is a nerve disease that eats away your muscles. He's lost all the muscle in his legs and hips and can no longer walk or move his legs by myself. He's also lost 60% of his upper body strength. He's trying to get a handicap van so I can get out to doctors, physical therapy and to just go have dinner out with his wife. He has people that come to help him get in and out of bed, bath, dress and shave.
