Iris’ Wheelchair Van
Iris is a 6 year old girl who is diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome, an exceptionally rare de novo genetic muatation of the SCN1A gene. Dravet syndrome causes uncontrollable seizures, mental delays, physical delays, and a host of other problems including inability to properly regulate and maintain core body temperature, especially in regard to heat.

Shanda is non mobile and Jennifer has used a wheelchair in the past but hasn’t needed one for many years. Now her knees are worn out and she faces knee replacement surgery. She needs a wheelchair when we go on any trip that requires walking very far.
